From September 21 to 26, 2025, a delegation of excellence from the Emilia-Romagna health and wellness system will participate in Health Week at Expo Osaka 2025, at the Italian Pavilion.
The initiative is organized by Clust-ER Health, in collaboration with universities, research institutes, hospitals, and technology transfer centers in the Emilia-Romagna region, with the aim of strengthening scientific and industrial collaborations with Japan in the fields of personalized medicine, neuroscience, biotechnology, and digital health.
Among the protagonists of the mission are IRET Foundation and the Bologna-Ozzano Technopole, which will bring to Japan the excellence of scientific research in the field of neuroscience and biomedical innovation made in Emilia-Romagna.
💡 September 23 — Health Futures: Bold Ideas, Real People
On September 23 (10:00-11:00 a.m.), the Auditorium of the Italian Pavilion will host the event “Health Futures: Bold Ideas, Real People,” a format inspired by TEDx talks, in which five leading figures in the Italian healthcare sector will share their vision of innovation through a symbolic object.
Among them will be Prof. Laura Calzà with her talk “Brain, mind, dementia: a challenge for artificial intelligence.” This session will be live streamed here 🎧
🧠 September 24 — Connecting Regional Life Sciences Ecosystems
On September 24 (2:30-5:30 p.m.), the delegation will participate in the event “Connecting Regional Life Sciences Ecosystems” at Nakanoshima Qross in Osaka, organized in collaboration with Osaka Prefecture and Clust-ER Health.
As part of the thematic sessions, Prof. Laura Calzà will give a presentation entitled “Brain health: a lifelong matter.”
